Idioms: "on the fence"
When you are "on the fence" about something, it means you can't decide, or you have mixed feelings about it.
So, for example:
Cherise: Are you going to the dinner party this Saturday?
Reuben: I don't know, I'm kind of
on the fence. I really want to see everybody, but it's kind of far away, and that restaurant is pretty expensive.
Here, Reuben wants to go meet his friends, but it might be too troublesome because of the time and money needed to go.
Are you
on the fence about anything these days?
