Internet lingo: "tbh" (2017.02.25)
The abbreviation "tbh" is short for "to be honest," and is used in the same way as "to be honest" or "to tell you the truth" are used in conversation to express that someone is giving their true opinion, even if it might be unpleasant, uncomfortable, or unexpected.
For example, in a text message conversation:
Bob: So how was the party last night?
Doug: Pretty boring tbh.
Here, it miht not be such a nice thing to say about the party that it was boring, but that is what Doug really thought about it.
