The abbreviation "tbh" means "to be honest," and it is used online in exactly the same way we'd use the expression in conversation.

So, for example if someone writes online or in a text message:

"I really don't like pop music tbh" simply means "I really don't like pop music, to be honest."

Another conversational expression with the same meaning is "to tell you the truth," but I've never seen "ttytt" used as an abbreviation, and I'm pretty sure nobody uses it at all.

A search of the term "tbh" in Google Trends shows its use has increased dramatically over the last few years, and tbh I see it all the time these days!
