ワードアップ英会話 WORD UP ENGLISH CLASS | 日記 | Lanterns at Shoumyouji

It was supposed to rain all day today, but fortunately the weather cleared up, so I went for a walk this afternoon. While I was walking I stopped by Shoumyouji Temple, in Kanazawa Bunko not far from Word Up.

In preparation for the cherry blossom season, they have hung lanterns along the street leading up to the temple gate. The cherry blossoms haven't started blooming yet, but it's still a nice sign that spring has arrived.

If you haven't vvisited Shoumyouji during the cherry blossom season before, I'd highly recommend it. It's really beautiful both in the daytiime and also at night, when they light up the lanterns and the temple building as well. (Or at least, they lit up the temple in the past, I'm not completely sure they still do that). Anyhow, check it out!
