To end up doing something, or to wind up doing something, means to do the final thing in a series of actions.
For example:
"After we ate dinner we ended up going to karaoke."
-OR-
"After we ate dinner we wound up going to karaoke."
This is often used with the nuance of changed plans or plans decided in the moment:
"I was planning to go to the park, but it rained so I wound up staying home and watching TV."
-OR-
"I was planning to go to the park, but it rained so I ended up staying home and watching TV."
