I went to see Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice today (also known as "BvS" for short). After years of media promotion and a major buildup of excitement, there has been a general reaction of disappointment among movie critics and fans.

So my expectations for BvS were pretty low because of the amount of genative reviews and feedback. And I have to mostly agree: BvS is really not that good. Considering how great comic-based movies can be when they're made well, like all of Christopher Nolan's Batman movies and many of the Marvel movies, Batman v Superman is definitely not of the same high quality.

But to be fair, in my opinion it also is not as terrible as many people are saying. It has a lot of problems; it's way too long, and gets pretty boring and pretty silly too often. I thought the first half of the movie worked pretty well, at the very least.

So I can't really give BvS a recommendation, but if you're the kind of movie fan who likes comic-based movies, it might be worth seeing on the big screen. And if not, you probably won't see it anyhow, so no problem!
